D.Levon aka Quills

Beatsmith and aspiring emcee, D.Levon (producer persona) aka Quills (emcee moniker) is a dynamic artist, bringing much to both aspects of his music.  As a producer, he has been heavily influenced by the Detroit sound, most noticeable in Detroit’s own, the late J Dilla.  Now Dilla may be echoed in D.Levon’s drums, but his use of samples has the fingerprint of Black Milk.  With the history passed down from his two musical mentors and his own west coast heritage, D.Levon creates a style unique to the introvert whose music is any thing but introverted.  Also, other aspiring emcees should inquire about using his beats, as many of them are available for sale.  D.Levon will take some time away from his MPC this year to continue his growth as a wordsmith – we are excited to share that with you when the time comes; be on the lookout for his first mixtape to drop some time in mid-2012.
