Yo! MTV Raps Documentary | (2012 Video)

There was no bigger music show in the eighties and early nineties than Yo! MTV Raps. Yo! successfully brought hip-hop to the mainstream. VH1 aired this Rock Doc awhile back and it does a good job at chronicling the rise of hip-hop music on television, the journeys of its pioneers, and the tales of its hosts. Prepare to be taken back to the days of old when hip-hop was young.

“…Asked my parents if I could watch MTV’s Yo!/ As was apropeaux they said ‘No’/ So I would watch it after school when they weren’t home…” (Knewbalance)
