Reflective nostalgia in hip hop never gets old. Two of the underground’s finest, Murs and Fashawn, both detail childhoods riddled with extreme highs and lows atop an ultra-poppy, yet not cheesy, beat – a nice juxtaposition. There are a couple of elements here that really stand out: first, it is dope that Murs represents the start of “this Generation” and Fashawn represents the tail end of said generation, and second, the visuals, heavy on the graffiti, are refreshing. Both emcees play with their cadences, flexing a little, and share unique perspectives. Thank God for good hip hop. Watch. Enjoy. Share.
Peace and Love,
